It was a hot summer day, but there was no place hotter than in Serena's home.
While Serena's parents were away on business, Serena and Rini were running like
mad around the house. It would seem Rini did something to annoy Serena once
again.
"Get back here, Rini! You'll pay for putting that hot pepper in my piece of
chocolate chip cookie cake!" Serena shouted. As Rini ran up the stairs, she
tripped on one of the steps and tumbled down to the ground. Serena pinned her
down to the ground before she could get up once more.
"Get off me, Serena! I promise I won't do it again!" Rini shouted.
"Come on... say you're sorry!" Serena said. As she sat on top of Rini, she
decided to add a little further damage by pulling on her pink hair. Rini shouted
out in pain as she tried to fight off Serena. Finally she complied with her
wish.
"Okay, okay! I'm sorry! Now get off before you squish me and pull my hair off!"
Rini shouted. Serena finally let go of her hair and got up, allowing Rini to
move once again.
"That's better." Serena said.
"Serena... it's time to visit Raye for summer reading!" Luna said.
"Ugh... not summer reading again! Why do we have to do these stupid summer
reading assignments!?" Serena shouted.
"Well, you know what Amy says... it's all part of getting into high school!"
Luna said.
"Okay... come on, Luna. Rini, you can stay here." Serena said as she walked away
from her and down the stairs.
"Are you sure we should leave Rini here?" Luna said.
"Come on, Luna. She's a sailor scout. I'm sure she can take care of herself."
Serena said.
When the two were gone, Rini dusted herself off and still had bad feelings for
Serena.
"That Serena. If only I were taller... I would show her a thing or two!" Rini
said. She imagined such a scenario playing out in her head, and that's when of
course reality set in.
"I can't. My mom would get mad at me for making myself bigger. But what if..."
Suddenly Rini began to think of an idea. Nobody had ever noticed the times in
the future when she would sometimes shrink someone, especially the school
bullies for at least a few minutes.
"Wait a minute... I haven't gotten in trouble for shrinking someone! I know just
the thing that will show Serena who's boss around here!" Rini said. She ran into
Serena's room and picked up her Luna Ball and started to dribble it around the
room.
"Kitty Magic! I want a shrink gun!" Rini shouted before she threw the ball into
the air. It quickly transformed into a small laser gun that could easily be held
in one of Rini's hands.
"Let's see if this thing works..." Rini said to herself. She aimed the gun at
Serena's bed before she fired it, and out came a red laser that shrunk the bed
to probably 20% of its original size.
"Alright! I'm glad this thing still works." Rini said. She fired the gun again
at the bed, which returned to its normal size.
"And it still works in reverse too." Rini said. Then she had another idea.
"Hmmm... I know Serena will like what I have in store for her." Rini said. She
changed her shrink gun back into her Luna Ball. Once she did that, she tapped
one of the eyes on the ball and it transformed into a distorted image of her
mother, Neo Queen Serenity.
"Hi Mommy!" Rini shouted.
"Oh, Rini! How is everything?" Neo Queen Serenity asked.
"Just fine. Listen... you know that special tea set you gave me many years ago?
Could you send to this time period?" Rini asked.
"Well... are you sure? Can't you play with Serena and her friends? I'm sure they
have some games for you." Neo Queen Serenity asked.
"Well... yeah, but I really want to show Serena my tea set. I'm sure she will
love it!" Rini said.
"Oh, okay. I'll send it through one of the time portals." Neo Queen Serenity
said.
"Yay! Thank you, Mommy!" Rini shouted before she broke off the communication
with her mother. Soon, a small portal appeared behind Rini and she looked to see
her tea set. It had all the accessories from the table to the plastic forks to
the fake cups. Everything was there... even the old dresses for her special
guests.
"Well... this will be quite the special tea party!" Rini shouted before giggling
a little at the thought of her plan. She transformed the Luna Ball back into her
shrink gun before she ran downstairs and into the living room. She threw herself
onto one of the couches and laid back on it, drifting off to sleep.
A couple hours later, Rini woke up to the sound of the front door opening up.
She could see Serena and Luna walking through. Rini got up and put her hands
behind her back, hiding the shrink gun at least for the time being.
"(sigh) Reading Shakespeare can be sooooo boring even when reading in a group."
Serena said.
"Oh come on, Serena. You know we could always use some thoughts from
intellectual minds like him." Luna said.
"Wasn't that Galileo from last week?" Serena said.
"Well, right... but still you know what I mean!" Luna shouted. Rini ran up to
Serena to greet her.
"Welcome home, Serena!" Rini shouted.
"Rini... gee, you're so optimistic all of a sudden." Serena said.
"I'll be in your room, Serena... I kinda want to take my catnap early." Luna
said as she ran up the stairs.
"Well, I guess I did miss you a little. It's so quiet around here when you
aren't home." Rini said.
"Yeah right... don't you have a nice doll that you can play with?" Serena asked.
Rini grinned as she took a couple steps back.
"I thought you'd never ask, Serena." Rini said. She then revealed the shrink gun
and aimed it right at Serena.
"Um... Rini, what's that?" Serena asked. And just as she said that, Rini fired
the shrink gun. Serena was surrounded in the bright red light from the laser,
but that was the least of her concerns as she watched as Rini seemingly was
getting bigger!
Finally, Serena stopped shrinking when she looked about three inches tall. The
3-and-a-half foot tall Rini walked up to the tiny Serena and just smiled.
"So, Serena... who's the bigger one now?" Rini said. Serena, wanting to scream
out of fear that her future daughter was bigger than her now, instead shook off
her fear and showed how angry she was now.
"Rini, how could you shrink me like this! I oughta show you something!" Serena
shouted. She walked up to Rini's feet and slapped them silly, but Rini just
laughed.
"Hee hee hee... that tickles, Serena! Now it's my turn." Rini said. She very
lightly moved her foot forward, kicking Serena down to the ground. Serena held
her chest in pain as she watched Rini place one of her feet right next to her.
"So how does it feel to have the tables turned on you?" Rini said. Serena didn't
say anything, being at the mercy of the giant Rini.
"Ah well, now it's time we played tea party! You and I are going to have so much
fun!" Rini said as she picked up the tiny Serena and ran up the stairs to
Serena's room.
"You are in so much trouble, young lady! Ouch! Ow!!! Don't climb up the stairs
so fast!" Serena said as she felt herself being swung back and forth as Rini
rocked her right hand around in that fashion.
Over the next few minutes, Rini would show a bit more of her hidden mischievous
behavior. Luna was quickly able to spot the shrunken Serena in Rini's hand, but
when Luna begged Rini to return Serena to her normal size, Rini refused and in
fact threatened to shrink her too if she didn't play along with her games. Rini
would go as far as dress Luna in a typical tea party girl's outfit, something
that came with the tea set she borrowed from the future.
As the so-called tea party got started, Rini pretended to pour some tea into
Serena's cup.
"Enjoying your tea? I'll be right back with some more donuts!" Rini said as she
got up and left Serena's room. Serena, dressed up in something a baby would love
to wear, looked over at Luna who was all dressed up like she was.
"This is sooooo humiliating!" Serena said.
"You? I'm wearing pantaloons!" Luna said.
"How can this happen, Luna? She should know better than this!" Serena said.
"Serena, look the other way when you talk. You're creeping me out." Luna said.
Rini then came back with a plate full of sugary donuts.
"Here we are... donuts for everyone!" Rini said. She dangled the plate in front
of Serena.
"Oh... I like sugary donuts!" Serena shouted, but Rini pulled the plate back
before Serena could get one off the plate.
"Sorry, but you're on a diet, Serena. These are all for me!" Rini said. Setting
the plate down and then sitting next to the tiny Serena, Rini picked up one of
the donuts and held it and her own face right up against Serena. She wanted to
make sure Serena got a good view of her mouth as she chomped the donut into
pieces. Rini put half of the donut into her mouth and bit down on it, opening
and closing her mouth to chomp on the donut. Serena just sat nervously as she
watched Rini do her best to intimidate her.
"Waaaaah! I want a donut!!!" Serena shouted.
"Oh grow up, Serena. Get it? Grow up?" Rini said, laughing at her own bad joke.
When she was done eating the donut, again in front of Serena's eyes, Rini
smirked down and picked her up.
"You've been a naughty little girl. I think someone needs a spanking!" Rini said
as she jumped into Serena's bed and laid flat on her back. Luna just sighed as
she watched all this unfold from the tea table.
"(sigh) Somebody tell me this is a really bad dream. I mean bad!" Luna said to
herself.
Meanwhile, Rini was laying on her back on Serena's bed. She had placed the
three-inch-tall Serena on top of her belly and watched as she struggled to
maintain her balance. Rini couldn't help but laugh each time Serena slipped and
fell down somewhere on Rini's clothes.
"What's wrong, Serena? Having trouble keeping balance?" Rini said.
"When I get back to normal size, Rini, I swear I will..." Serena said before she
was pushed down by one of Rini's fingers.
"What? Punch me in the knees?" Rini said with a giggle. A short while later,
Sammy, Serena's little brother, came walking by and stopped outside of Serena's
room. Rini noticed Sammy there and quickly covered Serena against her chest with
her two hands.
"Uh... Rini? Where's Serena?" Sammy said.
"Well... she went out with her friends. Why?" Rini asked.
"Oh, well... her stupid new magazine came in the mail. I think it was a new
issue of Nakayoshi or something." Sammy said.
"Nakayoshi? Okay, I'll get it for her." Rini said. Sammy just nodded before he
walked away. Rini loosened her grip on Serena as she crawled out from underneath
her hands.
"Nakayoshi!? I forgot that was coming in today!" Serena shouted.
"Really? Well, I guess you won't mind if I read it for you, right?" Rini said.
"WHAT!?!?!" Serena shouted, clearly upset that Rini was gonna peek inside the
newest issue of Nakayoshi before she herself could look at it.
"Well, I'll be right back with this new magazine of yours! Or maybe I should say
mine?" Rini said before she jumped out of bed and ran out of the room, taking
the shrink gun with her.
Meanwhile, Luna jumped onto Serena's bed and laid down next to the shrunken
Serena.
"(sigh) Luna, we have to get out of this mess!" Serena said. Luna was ripping
her tea party outfit off with her claws.
"Tell me something I don't know. I'm just glad Artemis didn't see me in this
stupid outfit." Luna said.
"There has to be a way to make myself grow back to normal size!" Serena said.
"Y'know, if I know Rini and her Luna Ball technology, you should be able to
return to normal with a second blast from Rini's shrink gun." Luna said.
"Great... but how do I get her to blast me again?" Serena said. Luna was
thinking of an idea when a few seconds later, one hit her.
"Wait a minute... Serena, do you still have your disguise pen with you?" Luna
said.
"Yeah, but what is that going to do? Doesn't that thing only transform me into
other people?" Serena asked.
"Well, not exactly... I have an idea, Serena..." Luna said. She then whispered
into Serena's ear what her plan was.
A couple minutes later, Rini returned to Serena's room with the new issue of
Nakayoshi in her hands. She looked to see Luna sitting on the bed next to what
looked like a jack-in-the-box. She placed the magazine on the bed.
"Huh? Where is Serena, Luna?" Rini asked.
"I don't know... she must've gone into hiding. She left this toy here in her
place that apparently shrunk with her when you blasted her." Luna said.
"Really? Who'd have thought Serena would be like me... always keeping toys in my
pockets." Rini said. What Rini didn't notice was that on one side of the box was
a human face resembling that of Serena's. In fact... it was Serena! She had used
her disguise pen to change into the very jack-in-the-box that Luna was showing
off to Rini.
"Ugh... hurry it up, Rini, I'm getting square-headed!" Serena said to herself.
Rini picked up the box and looked over it.
"So you say this thing shrunk along with Serena? If that's the case, this must
be one really big box!" Rini said.
"Well, you know Serena, always keeping things hidden from us in front of her
duties as a sailor scout." Luna said with a slight giggle.
"Well, I'm sure she won't mind if I make it bigger." Rini said as she placed the
box on the floor. She then pulled out her shrink gun and zapped the box, and it
indeed started to grow until it was a big box that certainly looked bigger than
Rini.
"Okay, now let's see how this thing works..." Rini said. She took the handle and
began to crank it up and down.
Finally, the box started to sparkle with flashes of light. It then disappeared,
and in its place stood Serena, laying on the floor but back to her normal size.
She slowly got up on her feet and stretched herself out.
"Ouch... now I know how it feels to be square." Serena said.
"Serena, but..." Rini said.
"Okay, you little worm! Now it's my turn to play!" Serena said.
"Oh yeah?" Rini said. She aimed the shrink gun at Serena, but this time, Serena
was ready and she quickly wrestled the gun from Rini's hands.
"Now... I believe you were saying something about someone needing a spanking?"
Serena said as she held the shrink gun in her hands.
"Um... I think I hear my mom calling. Bye Serena!" Rini said before she sprinted
out of the room. Serena tossed the shrink gun onto her bed before following Rini
out.
"Get back here, Rini! No more sleeping on my bed for you!" Serena shouted. Luna
just looked at the shrink gun before looking out at the doorway, listening as
Serena and Rini were doing their shouting all over the house.
"Somehow I have a feeling this will not be the last I'll hear of the shrink
gun." Luna said, trying hard not to imagine what would happen if either Serena
or Rini got their hands on the gun.
