A Little One's Place, Chapter 1

(BiggerBetterBarbie; idea by SuperFlour)

Andy was walking down the busy streets of his home city, holding his phone up to his ear and watching out for people in front of him at the same time who were going places as well.
“I know, Michelle! It’s like your Dad always said. Practice makes perfect. Sigh… that’s why I can’t wait for us to get married. 6 months seems like forever.” Andy said as he turned to the right towards a much less crowded street. As he walked down this street, he looked out in the distance and saw what appeared to be a portal opening… and it was coming straight for him like a train!
“Hey, baby… let me call you back.” Andy said as he hung up the phone and threw it into his pants pocket. That portal was coming in a big hurry and he felt he had to get running now.
“Shoot shoot shoot!!!” Andy shouted as he turned around and ran, but there was no outrunning this portal. It swallowed him whole. Just as mysteriously, once Andy was gone, so was the portal as it disappeared in a blink.

Andy lost his footing as the energy of the portal swallowing him caused him to trip himself up. It took him a few seconds to finally get up and dust himself off.
“Okay, anybody get the license plate of that giant portal?” Andy said. He pulled out his phone and already the screen was telling him no signal. He tried anyway calling a few numbers, such as his girlfriend’s number as well as 911, but nothing went through. It was total silence.
“Bleh… no signal. Figures when I’m out in the middle of nowhere.” Andy said. He then looked around at his new environment. It appeared to be some kind of forest with tall red ‘trees.’ I quote trees, of course, because these trees didn’t have a single leaf on them. This brought the next natural question to the young man.
“Where am I?” Andy asked.

He wouldn’t have to wait long for the answer. Right when he finished asking that, he suddenly heard some loud, yet soft, booming sounds, plus two female voices that progressively got louder. Before Andy could wonder who those voices belonged to, he looked up and saw a giant white wall coming down on him.
“Yipes!” Andy shouted as he dove out of the way, just avoiding being crushed but watching as several of the ‘red trees’ got squished underneath that wall. Another wall came down crushing more of the trees, and then a series of black walls followed afterwards. Andy dodged left and right until finally the walls had departed, leaving just him and several crinkled ‘red trees.’
“H...How did those trees survive?” Andy said. He had to find out what the deal was, so he grabbed the nearest tree and started climbing it. It took him a couple minutes, but finally he made it to the very top of the tree, which was surprisingly easy to stand on.
One look in the distance, and it all finally made sense to him. First off, those walls weren’t walls. They were legs belonging to two of the biggest ponies he had ever seen. One was colored white with other colors shining from her hair and tail, while the other pony was mostly dark purple colored. Of course, we know these ponies as Celestia and her sister, Luna.
“Giant ponies?” Andy said.

Then he looked down at where he was standing, then scanning the rest of the ‘trees.’ They weren’t trees at all, but carpet strands. Again, it wouldn’t hit him right away, but he was actually in the royal throne room belonging to the two princesses of Equestria. Andy gulped nervously.
“Hoo boy… if this is just one carpet strand, I’m probably not even big enough to be measured with a stock ruler!” Andy said, leaving him to think that portal not only transported him to another world (perhaps even another dimension), but also shrunk him to a very small size. Or maybe he was normal-sized and the ponies and the world they inhabited were gigantic. He didn’t know or cared, watching as the two talked with each other again.
“Luna, see if there’s a few ribbons in that drawer over there.” Celestia said.
“Right!” Luna said as she galloped over to the drawer in another corner of the throne room. Of course, unknown to her, she had almost stepped on the shrunken Andy on the carpet beneath her hooves. As for Andy, he knew the chance to gain at least this pony’s attention was right in front of him… literally as Luna’s blue tail dangled around in front of him.
“Gotta climb her and hope she can help me somehow…” Andy said as he took a deep breath and leapt forward, grabbing the tail. Even as the tail swung around as Luna moved here and there, Andy held on tight and climbed as best as he could, but as he moved deeper within Luna’s tail, obscuring his vision of the outside world, Andy was getting confused and disoriented wondering which way he should go.

A couple minutes later, the two royal ponies watched as the doors to the throne room opened wide. Another pony (wearing a chef’s hat), with a table behind her along with two more ponies wheeling it, came into the room. On the table were a couple bowls of salads.
“Dinner is served, your majesties!” the pony said.
“Ah! Is it dinner time already? Thank you, chef.” Celestia said as she and Luna did 180 degree swings. As Luna did her swing, she unknowingly made Andy lose his grip on her tail.
“Oh noooooooo!!!” Andy screamed as he went sailing through the air, bracing for a deadly impact.
Instead, he landed on something somewhat soft, allowing him to breathe a sigh of relief. Curiosity got the better of him when he saw he was laying on some green surface.
“Well, I survived, but where did I land now?” Andy said. Given how small he was, he had a hard time identifying what exactly it was he was sitting on.

But he knew it wasn’t good as he saw the ‘giantesses’ Celestia and Luna all approach the table and lick their lips.
“Mmmmm… another fresh and well prepared salad.” Celestia said.
“I know, I know. Just the thing after a long day of running the kingdom. Don’t you ever feel like trying something different?” Luna said.
“There are some traditions that shouldn’t be trifled with, dear sister.” Celestia said. As both ladies made their horns glow and nearby forks started floating in midair, that’s when it hit Andy like a wrecking ball.
“Eeeep! I’m on their salad… and I’m one of the toppings if I don’t beat it!” Andy said as he got to running in the opposite direction as Celestia stuck her fork (telepathically) into one of the many pieces of lettuce.
Andy ran and ran and ran, but his incredibly tiny size made it hard for him to get far, and it didn’t make him feel better listening to Celestia chew away at her salad. He was especially about to become fearful when Celestia next stuck her fork on another leafy piece of lettuce… the same one he happened to be standing on.
“Oh no!” Andy screamed as he held on tight to the lettuce to keep from falling off. At the same time, he watched as Celestia’s open mouth got closer and closer.
“Don’t eat meeeeeee!” Andy screamed, trying not to imagine falling into a giant pony’s stomach.

He was about to be thrown a lifeline, however, when Luna looked over at the piece that Celestia was about to swallow.
“Whoa, whoa! Hold on, Celestia!” Luna said.
“Huh? What’s wrong, Luna?” Celestia said as she stopped telepathically moving the fork full of food towards her mouth. Luna focused her eyes on the lettuce, while Andy waved his arms frantically trying to get her attention. It seemed Luna, as she lightly gasped, took notice of him… but in a manner he did not expect.
“It looks like you have some kind of bug on your salad.” Luna said. With amazing precision, Luna took her horn and swiped at the ‘bug,’ knocking Andy off the fork and sending him freefalling first towards Celestia’s back, and then bouncing off it and heading towards the cold marble floor down below.
“Waaaaaaah!!!” Andy screamed before finally landing with a thud on the ground. Andy managed to stay alive, but between getting whacked by Luna’s horn, Celestia’s back, and the rough landing on the floor, he was injured pretty good. He wiggled around, moaning in pain, and watched helplessly as Luna stood proudly over him. The giant dark purple skinned pony didn’t say anything more. She simply raised one of her hooves and brought it down on Andy, leaving his head sticking out.
“Hahaha! Silly little insect! Did you think you could play games with me and Celestia!?” Luna shouted as she put more pressure and pressure on the ‘bug.’ Andy could only scream as he felt the pain shooting through his already bruised and battered body.

But just when it looked like he was seconds away from being literally crushed to death, Celestia stepped in and nudged Luna away.
“Luna, wait!” Celestia said as Luna backed away and lifted her hoof off Andy, allowing him to breathe again. The man watched from below as the ponies were now arguing with each other.
“Huh? What gives, Celestia?” Luna asked.
“Bugs have a place in this world, too. We shouldn’t so hastily discard them.” Celestia said. Luna looked at Celestia like she had come from a distant planet.
“Are you out of your sun shining mind!? I hate bugs! They’re a nuisance to everything!” Luna shouted.
“Luna, that’s really a poor attitude to have. I mean, look at this poor, teeny tiny life form. How can it possibly be a nuisance to you… or anyone in Equestria, for that matter?” Celestia said. Luna still grunted and turned her head to the side.
“Bleh! I don’t care what you say. I hate bugs and that’s that! Nothing’s going to change my mind on that.” Luna said. Celestia just rolled her eyes and looked down at the ‘bug,’ and then she made her horn glow again. This time it was Andy who was glowing all over.
“Whoa!” Andy said as he felt himself lifted off the floor quickly. He eventually made it all the way up to one of Celestia’s eyeballs. Andy almost got hit by one of her giant eyelashes as Celestia focused.
“Hmmm… what a fascinating looking bug. I don’t believe I’ve ever seen one like you.” Celestia said.
“Er… ever heard of a planet called Earth?” Andy said.
“Oh! You talk? Most interesting… there’s so much I’d like to learn about you, little bug.” Celestia said as she walked away from Luna and towards another part of the throne room.
“Do not be afraid, little one. I’ll make sure you are spared from a horrible fate.” Celestia said.

Luna gritted her teeth now. She thought to herself how dare Celestia get friendly with such a worthless and meaningless creature!? She galloped towards Celestia and opened her mouth wide as she approached Andy.
“Eeeeee…!” Andy screamed before Luna closed her mouth and trapped Andy inside, leaving him sitting on her tongue.
“LUNA!” Celestia shouted as Luna quickly turned around and ran towards the throne room doors. Using a little magic of her own, she commanded the doors to open. Luna was about to make a turn to the right and make a getaway, but Celestia was right in her path.
“Ugh! I hate how you’re so much faster than me!” Luna said.
“GIve me the bug, Luna!” Celestia shouted.
“Hah! Not if I swallow it, first!” Luna shouted. Before she could even think about taking any action with anything inside her mouth, Celestia made her horn glow bright again. This time, Luna was forced to open her mouth. Once it was open, Celestia acted fast, focusing her telepathic powers on Andy again and allowing him to float in midair.

Andy eventually was guided on top of Celestia’s head as he was tucked behind her crown. Luna groaned in disgust over the ‘bug’ being out of reach, and on top of all that, she could tell by Celestia’s angry expression that her sister wasn’t done yet.
“I think it’s time you saw life from a bug’s perspective.” Celestia said.
“Er… okay, sis. I get it, I get it, no hard feelings, right?” Luna said. But she watched as Celestia made her horn glow again. This time it was Luna who was glowing from head to toe, and she wasn’t anywhere close to being lifted off the ground like the forks on the dinner table earlier. Luna instead watched as Celestia… no, not just her, but everything around her got bigger.
“What!? I’m shrinking!? Nooooo!” Luna shouted, watching as the floor got closer and closer, almost right in her face as small as she shrunk. She was, in fact, the same size that Andy was at. Luna didn’t care about that, though. All she was focused on was Celestia’s incredibly large face as she kneeled down to get a closer look at her shrunken sister.
“I’ll return you to normal once you’ve fully realized what life is like for the very creatures that you seemingly despise.” Celestia said as she stood back to her full height and walked back into the throne room, making sure to step over and as close to Luna as she could. The shrunken Luna gulped nervously as she looked around the seemingly endless hallways of the palace now.
“Hoo boy… things can’t get any worse, can they?” Luna asked, only to hear a few female giggles far in the background. Luna stood ready to make sure she wouldn’t be flattened by whoever was coming.

As for Celestia, once she was back in the throne room, she lit up her horn again, this time using it to make Andy float in front of her eyes again.
“Now then, little bug, I shall take you to my quarters so we may get to know each other better.” Celestia said.
“T...t...thank you. One for being so nice to me and the other for saving my life.” Andy said.
“So what is your name, little bug?” Celestia said.
“Andy.” Andy replied.
“Andy? What an interesting name.” Celestia said as she continued on her way to her quarters.

Andy was already taking a liking to the giant Celestia. He hoped that maybe she would have the answers on how he got to this world and, if it was possible, how to get back home. What will become of him, and will the incredibly tiny Luna survive in the gigantic world of unaware ponies?

We’ll all know someday in the future when Chapter 2 arrives! ^______^
